Sian is supporting refugees and asylum seekers
Story
Hi everyone!
Please support the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre’s big funding day. On Sunday 20 November, I am participating in the ASRC 'run for refugees' as part of a team 'I'm with the Nurses'. The team includes the nurses who run the health program at the ASRC, the doctors, nurses, allied health care workers and many others who care, and support the work of the Health Program. I will be walking 15kms+ to and from Abbotsford Convent.
The ASRC supports people and families with food, housing, basic material needs and helps them in with legal and medical concerns as they seek safety and freedom; as well as advocating for a fair, just and welcoming Australia.
You can support my Kilometres of Compassion and help me reach my fundraising goal by making a secure online donation. After donating, feel free to leave a message letting us know why you support the ASRC.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to the ASRC. Any donation, big or small, can help make a difference. Together we will champion hope and compassion.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible and a receipt will be sent to you by email.
Thank you so much for your support!
ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.
As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.
We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
